Formation Lesson - Prayer
Part I - LMC Statutes and Documents of the Church
Chapter 3 - The LMC Community in Dialogue with God
“Where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them [Mt 18:20]
pg. 33 #10: “Our life is meant to be a continuous prayer of praise and thanksgiving. We need to be fed each day with prayer , and ardent search for God who loves us. Prayer alone will enable us to give without counting the cost and helps us to accomplish God’s will everyday. We have many enemies in our spiritual life: the world, the devil and ourselves. To dedicate ourselves heart and soul to the battle against our spiritual enemies we need to pray constantly and persevere in prayer. With joy and indestructible hope we will work for the poorest of the poor for whom Jesus gave His life and blodd. Prayer and work are not whole without each other. Lord teach us to pray.“ [From the Contemplative Brothers Constitutions No.135]

Thank you for your loving letter and for the prayers you offered for me in Lisieux. Part III - Teachings of the Spiritual Directors and LMC Archive Resources
Fr. Sebastian Vazhakala, M.C. / Conference II / LMC USA National
Austin, Texas May 2008 : [ Excerpts from retreat notes ]
“A Christian is a learner. You stop learning 15 minutes after your death. Never give up. It is never too late. A Christian is a learner. “Discipulos” - learner . A disciple of Jesus. A learner. Life is our school. We learn from Jesus. We don’t turn back and turn away. Jesus knew what he was doing.
Zachaeus’ positive side was that he stood his ground. He was chief of the tax collectors - and a wealthy man. “We have not met Jesus yet if we do not give all. Not half our portion, but all.”
It is important how we live, what we do. We take only who we are at death. The rich man could have done much more. He did not do. Jesus is enough for us. The Saints just left everything, for Him. “He gave without counting the cost.” Are we to do something with our lives ?”
